Candy Cane Lane is synonymous with Christmas in Milwaukee. Over 300 homes participate in the neighborhood holiday lights celebration on 4 blocks just north of Oklahoma Avenue in West Allis. The neighborhood decks itself out in Christmas lights unlike anywhere else -- and Santa makes appearances between December 6-24. Viewing is free, but donations can be made to support the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).

A spectacular downtown Christmas lights display along the Milwaukee River on Old World Third Street, Pere Marquette Park attracts many spectators every year. With the ceremonial lighting on November 19, Milwaukee officially kicks off its 11th annual Holiday Lights Festival at Pere Marquette Park.

Home of Jazz in the Park and close to many great Milwaukee bars and restaurants, Cathedral Square Park transforms into a haven of Christmas trees and lights in November and December. Like Pere Marquette Park, Cathedral Square is a part of the annual Holiday Lights Festival.

The Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha puts on a great Christmas lights display in Waukesha (about 15 miles west of Milwaukee). In fact, they claim to have Wisconsin's largest outdoor drive-through lights display.
