Whistling Straits | 1111 W Riverdale Ave • Sheboygan

Set to host the 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships, Kohler Company's Whistling Straits is the more famous of the American Club's golf courses.  It is a challenge, even for the professionals, when the winds pick up off Lake Michigan.  But the beauty of the course, nestled alongside the lake, is unprecedented.  Located about 50 miles north of Milwaukee.  Kohler's other course, Blackwolf Run is also worth checking out.

Brown Deer Golf Club | 7835 N Green Bay Rd • Milwaukee

One of the best public golf courses in all of southeastern Wisconsin is well-kept and has been the home to many professional golf tournaments.  Tiger Woods made his professional golfing debut here in 1996 at the Greater Milwaukee Open.

Voted the best golf course in the Milwaukee area by local news station WISN, Edgewood is about 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee.  Golfers rave about the beautiful views, the challenging course and the beer cart girls!

A beautiful, challenging par-72 located southwest of Milwaukee about 30 miles.  Rainbow Springs takes full advantage of the wooded Kettle Moraine beauty, and is a consistent favorite among southeastern Wisconsin golfers.

A challenging course that is heavily wooded.  Whitnall Park Golf Club was opened in 1932, making it one of the oldest public golf courses in the area.  Whitnall Park Golf Club is a Milwaukee public golf course.

A nice course with a beautiful clubhouse, New Berlin hills offers 18 holes of golf within miles of Milwaukee.  The course opened in 1907 as Woodmont Country Club.

An 18-hole public golf course on Milwaukee's north side that offers a wonderful playing surface for pros and amateurs alike.  Be careful however, there are several water traps.

A hidden gem almost (at least from the downtown folks) in the Milwaukee suburb of Germantown.  BlackStone is a beautiful course located northwest of downtown Milwaukee along the Menomonee River.
